“Make your views known on road tolls” says Barrett
John Barrett MP, Scottish Liberal Democrat MP for Edinburgh West, today called on people in his constituency and throughout Edinburgh, to respond to the Council's consultation on road tolls for the city.
Mr Barrett said:
"Unfortunately, since the Council failed to properly advertise the consultation document or distribute one to every home, I am concerned a bad response could skew the overall results.
"With only 2 weeks left till the end of the consultation period, it is vital as many people as possible respond to the document and make their views known. Only with a large response from people across the city and from all backgrounds will the Council get an accurate picture of the true feelings of the people which these new transport ideas will directly affect.
"It is especially important for my constituents in areas like Queensferry, Kirkliston and Ratho, who are beyond the road toll outer circle and who will face new significant charges for entering Edinburgh, to respond."
