People right to be angry about Post Office closure outcome

Commenting on the announcement that 24 Post Offices are to close in the South of Scotland, Edinburgh and the Lothians, local Liberal Democrat MP, John Barrett said:

“Local people have got small change out of this review. They will be right to be very bitter and angry about the outcome.

“The strong response this consultation received will only increase the sense of betrayal, since nothing meaningful has changed.

“Local communities in my constituency pulled together to present a strong case to save Post Offices at Cramond and Dalmeny and yet it seems that their concerns have been brushed aside by Post Office bosses determined to cut costs at the expense of services.”
