Barrett attends briefing on counter terrorism measures

John Barrett today received a briefing from the Chief Constable of Lothian and Borders Police on counter terrorism measures.

Speaking this afternoon Mr Barrett said:

"Following the recent bombings in London and Bali it was reassuring to hear from the Chief Constable and other emergency sevices in Edinburgh details of the challenges they face. I would like to thank those who are in the front line and I will do whatever I can to give them my support and to ensure they have the resources they require to do the job we ask of them."
